Official statement due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine:

No active athletes from Russia or Belarus, nor attendants in any capacity, will be allowed at the CVI Flyinge International Vaulting competition, July 1-3 2022.
The decision is taken in accordance with the ban announced by the International Equestrian Federation FEI and the Swedish Equestrian Federation.
 
The banning is to be seen as an act of unity against the ongoing Russian aggression and invasion of Ukraine.
 
– We deeply regret having to take these measures, and we feel sorry for those innocent Russian and Belarusian sportsmen who will be affected, but the decision is a clear and necessary demonstration of our moral obligations, in solidarity with the Ukrainian people, says Ted Velander, chairman of the CVI Flyinge organizing committee.

FEI EUROPEEAN AND JUNIOR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 2023 TO FLYINGE, SWEDEN

The FEI Vaulting World Championship for Seniors and the Europeean Championship for Juniors were to be held at Flyinge, Sweden, in 2020.
Due to the covid pandemic, the entire event had to be cancelled.
 
Now the next combined World and Europeean Vaulting Championships are back to Sweden.
The EC Seniors and the WC Juniors have been allocated by the FEI to Flyinge, Sweden, for 2023.
 
The event will take place from July 26 to July 30 2023.
 
– We are very happy and grateful to get this chance, says chairman of the organizing committee, Ted Velander. This especially since we all were so well prepared and ready to set off when we had to cancel last summer. Now we go all in for 2023!
 
The Europeean and World Vaulting Championships will be held at Flyinge Kungsgård, an old equestrian centre, just outside Lund. This has been the venue for a row of CVI:s over the last five years. The EC – JVC event will be strongly supported by local and regional authorities, Visit Lund and Event in Skåne, as well as by the Swedish Equestrian Federation and the FEI.
